Our nursery children recently helped rescue an injured hedgehog during Forest School after recognising the signs of a hedgehog in distress from their learning with Hedgehog Rescue Cottage in Bielby. Following our Wildlife Trust 3km Challenge, where children from babies to preschool raised £180 for wildlife conservation, the children used their knowledge in a real life situation to help Pip the hedgehog receive the care he needed.

Being shortlisted as a finalist for the NDNA Nursery of the North Awards at the start of 2026 is an achievement that has filled our entire team with immense pride and excitement.
