Little Pips Nursery

Our artist residency with graffiti artist Vicky Hill (Vyx) celebrates creativity through our Reggio Emilia inspired approach. Children explored mixed media, colour, texture and mark making, using materials as a language for self expression. Their ideas and fascination with feathers evolved into a collaborative mural, valuing curiosity, experimentation and creative thinking.

Our nursery children recently helped rescue an injured hedgehog during Forest School after recognising the signs of a hedgehog in distress from their learning with Hedgehog Rescue Cottage in Bielby. Following our Wildlife Trust 3km Challenge, where children from babies to preschool raised £180 for wildlife conservation, the children used their knowledge in a real life situation to help Pip the hedgehog receive the care he needed.

There’s something truly special about traditions, especially the ones that bring creativity, laughter, and community together. Our much-loved Egg Decorating Contest is one of those traditions, and we’re so thrilled to have welcomed it back for its second year here at Little Pips.
